Paul Wright Biography
Growing up in the southern english town of Farnham, Paul had a relatively normal childhood until one day at the age of eight he was taken to Blackbush Aerodrome where Sidney Allard and Wally Parks had organized the first ever drag racing event in England. Armed with a beat up old camera, Paul arrived there a young boy and left a hot rodder and a photographer which ultimately lead to him becoming a filmmaker. It had a profound effect on his life and was a defining moment.
Paul went on to build a number of notable Hot Rods in England that culminated in Paul building a blown flathead drop tank lakester that was raced at Bonneville and El Mirage Dry Lakes before becoming an exhibit at Disney's California Adventure theme park in Anaheim, California. Before moving to Texas, Paul divided his time in California between the film and television industry and the restoration of award winning early V8 Fords and vintage hot rod building. |
